CEEC Advocacy: Supporting Business Interest and Growth
Advocacy plays a vital role in the activities of the CEEC. As a business-oriented chamber, it is essential to ensure that the voices and concerns of our members are heard, and their interests are represented in key decision-making processes. Most of our advocacy efforts are carried out in collaboration with EuroCham Vietnam, leveraging the collective strength of its 9 affiliated business associations and the broader EuroCham network.
At CEEC, we understand that advocacy is more powerful when done together. EuroCham provides a platform where our voices, along with those of other business associations, can be amplified, resulting in more significant, far-reaching impacts. CEEC is proud to have a representative on the EuroCham Board who is responsible for advocating on behalf of our members. This role ensures that the specific needs and challenges faced by CEEC members are given proper attention, particularly in areas that directly affect business operations.
Supporting Members through Advocacy
While much of CEEC’s advocacy work is carried out in partnership with EuroCham, the chamber also plays an active role in addressing issues specific to our members. CEEC with its own established channels, local connections, and business networks, enabling us to focus on challenges that are particularly relevant to the Central and Eastern European (CEE) community operating in Vietnam. CEEC advocates for the issues that matter most to our members. We aim to address regulatory challenges, streamline processes, and ensure that business environments are conducive to growth and success.
Examples of CEEC’s Advocacy Impact
While our advocacy efforts may seem small in scale, they have had an impact on our members and the business environment in Vietnam. Some of the examples include:
- Visa Exemption for CEE Countries: One of the key concerns for businesses operating across international borders is the ease of travel for employees and partners. CEEC worked on securing visa exemptions for CEE nationals entering Vietnam, making it easier for businesses to send representatives and strengthen ties with their local partners. This small yet important step is a beginning for more impactful solutions which we hope, will be introduced step by step by the Vietnamese authorities.
- Pharmaceutical Regulations and Market Authorization: For companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, navigating regulations and ensuring market access can be complex. CEEC took action in advocating for more transparent and streamlined processes regarding pharmaceutical regulations and market authorization.
Continuing Advocacy Efforts Based on Member Needs
At CEEC, we are committed to advocating for our members’ concerns and needs. Whether it’s addressing regulatory hurdles, improving market access, or advocating for fair business practices, we remain dedicated to working on behalf of our members and the broader business community.
Moving forward, CEEC will continue to monitor the challenges and opportunities that arise for our members. We will work to ensure that their voices are represented and that their concerns are addressed at the highest levels of decision-making. By staying engaged with local authorities, leveraging our networks, and collaborating with EuroCham, we will keep advocating for solutions that promote growth and success for our members.
In a rapidly changing business environment, CEEC is committed to being a strong, supportive advocate for its members, working towards a better business climate for all.
