On July 29, 2026, a delegation from the Austrian Embassy in Vietnam and the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce (CEEC), led by Ambassador Philipp Agathonos and Vice Chairman of CEEC Florian Beranek, visited Ha Tinh Province to explore investment and cooperation opportunities. During the working session, provincial leaders introduced local potential in metallurgy, manufacturing, energy, and digital infrastructure—including AI data centers—while requesting support in promoting investment, training skilled labor for the steel industry, and advancing green technology and waste management solutions. Ambassador Agathonos praised Ha Tinh’s development and affirmed that Austria and the CEEC will help connect European businesses with the province to foster sustainable, long-term cooperation. Prior to the meeting, the delegation also toured the Lao-Viet International Port and Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
